Below is an example of my favorite way to paint. When it works, it works great, however it can also lead to a few epic fails. Thankfully that happens less often now, but it still happens! I seldom, if ever, draw a painting out fully on a canvas before starting. I make some measuring points to (hopefully) make sure it all fits on the canvas, then keep measuring as I go, one thing against another. This is a piece I did for the Woodford Humane Society Benefit.
